Clinical Peels Prep & Benefit
What it does: Chemical peels offer a deep chemical exfoliation that helps improve uneven skin tone, brighten and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Most patients see improvement after 3 to 6 sessions. We recommend 2 to 4 weeks in between treatments.
How to prepare: Discontinue all retinol, retinoids and topical prescriptions 7-10 days prior to treatment. No sun exposure or tanning minimum 14 days prior or post-treatment. This treatment cannot be performed on pregnant or nursing patients.
Contraindications for chemical peels: Active cold sores or warts, skin with open wounds, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea, autoimmune disease, use of Accutane within the past year, skin cancer or pregnancy.
